They are the people who laugh with you, listen to you when you need to talk, encourage you, and support you. Friends make life more exciting. As you move on with every extravagant day of life you learn from the day before. Friends are people who also help you to learn from them. As you meet new people they become closer as you see how much you are alike. That is the reason why you have friends in the first place. The characteristics of one another compare and contrast. As one may disagree the other may agree on a particular subject. At the same time they may aslo be on the same page as one another also. I have plenty of friends but each has a particular part in my life as one will never have more power or more importance than the other. I shall love and care for them equally. But my mom will always come first, because she has been the friend that my true friends just could not be.

Intramural Basketball Game

I figured when I heard "intramural" that it was just going to be for fun. I actually forgot that the division that I was playing in was the competitive league of the co-recreation basketball. They were taking the game so serious that I had to go out on the court and shut up their cheers. As I would run up and down the court to get a little loose, the ball finally came my way. As I stared my defender in the face, I also eyed my target which was the goal. I pulled up for the three pointer and drain it. After that shot it would be the begginning of a game to be taken over by me. I did share the ball with some of my fellow teammates though. I just had the eye of a tiger and the ability to take over the game like it would be no tommorrow. As the game came to a close, the other team were compiling baskets back to back which made things even worse on my team and I. We then held them until the end of the game so it would end in a tie. It was just a good game that was being played by everyone who love the sport which made it even more interesting.

My First UNC Basketball Game

As I got the call from a friend asking if I wanted to go the UNC versus Miami game I was really suprised. The game would be the first game I have seen live. All the others, I would either be, in my room or someone elses watching it on tv. As I sat and watch us take over the game in the beginning. It suprised me when "the boys" almost lost it at the end of the first half and beginning of the second. I was really suprised but the main was that we won. I didn't get to feel the true rush when the game was going on because there weren't too many highlights but there were enough. Now that I have been to one game I would love to go to the one when we play Duke. I know for a fact that everybody's adrenaline will be pumping and rushing. As my inagural game was a good one I just am asking that I will be able to see many more.

Snow Snow Snow

When I left my class today I was really suprised to see the snow falling. As I was walking to Lenoir Hall (dining hall), the coldness was the only thing that was so very striking to my body. As I was sitting down at the table, by the window. I happened to look out were there was nothing but snow covering the ground. It was amazing how the ground was covered so quickly. As people would take a step their tracks would be covered with the falling precipitation within a minute. My friends and I were saying that no one would want to go to class tommorrow. Of course, nature has taken its course and the road ways are clear. The classes will resume and my life has to go on. Even though it snowed and I still had to walk to class, my day was a great one for I shall be happy that I might see tommorrow.

Come On Guys

"Come on Guys" is exactly what I want to tell the basketball team here at UNC-Chapel Hill. As most UNC basketball fans know, this just past saturday our team lost to Wake Forest. It was a big upset to most of us. As the game was being played I received phone calls asking me why they were losing and why they weren't playing up to their potential. I actually couldn't answer that question but I could say that they were learning from each mistake that was being made. As my eyes were witnessing what was goin on my heart just got heavy and then even more heavy because of how Chris Paul and the rest of the Wake Forest team was taking over the game. As we all gain something from the way people hurt us, I'm sure, that they learned from that game and have something special for the next team that they play. That something special will be a "L" on their loser's column.
